Maresca not happy with Legia ‘setback’, looking for response from team on Sunday - We Ain't Got No History
Didn't watch the game. Was expecting a youngish side play out a drab 0-0 draw. So there is definitely an element of surprise this morning when I look at the line up, the result, the highlights and the post match comments. Having done all that now, the following sequence of events make the most logical sense to me- The comments this week from Palmer, James made Maresca fear that there could be a player's revolt. So to stamp his authority, he played all the regular starters in this meaningless game. The players responded by putting in an even more dire performance than any one could have expected. Now, if my deduction is correct, Maresca will drop James and Palmer for the Fulham game and the way we are playing, we would be lucky to escape with a draw. Maresca now doesn't care about the league, he only needs to see out the end of the season and win the conference league to justify his position to the CXOs and that's going to be tricky. His only hope is that players self motivate themselves to see out Betis/La Viola in the final, which I'm am betting on, we will lose. The current state of discontent is the worst that I have seen in the last two and a half decades that I've been following Chelsea. It's not just the players, but the fans and the apathetic attitude of the club's hierarchy that makes this situation worse. Added to that the complete delusion of this idiot to think he is still in control. Ant self respecting manager and an experienced hierarchy would be having conversations right now and in an ideal situation the two parties would mutually agree to part ways. But since, Maresca is a deluded idiot and the club's management is clueless, we will let this train run its course, which would inevitably end in a defeat in the conference final. Regarding the league, we'd be lucky to win a single game in the remaining fixtures. Tldr - Ideally, Maresca would be sacked and all our focus now should be on the conference league. So, we don't need a proven manager, we need someone like John Terry to see us out through the remainder of the season. Get Terry in, right now.

that's the whole crux of what the world has been since WWII - super rich and confident but a total freaking idiot, the US of A putting its foot where it doesn't belong. It's truly US exceptionalism. No offense to my American brothers
