Tuchel’s sub of Konsa for Gordon was an obvious mistake. However, these England players need to take accountability. The English side had more talent across the eleven than Argentina and just about every other team in this tourney, and most tourneys. And they’re deeper than just about anybody. Bellingham wants to smack Barco post match - where was that gumption to get on the ball and do something before the final whistle blew? How does a team with Dan Burns, John Stones, Bellingham, Kane, Anderson, etc get out jumped for headers by 5’9 McCallister on multiple occasions? Argentina are short, and they won by throwing crosses into the box against giants. England can rightfully be mad at Tuchels decisions, but these players need to take accountability, too.

Alonso coming out with a definitive "yes" when asked if he wants Fernandez to stay. Also added that they've spoken and that the conversation is private. Gotta love the way he navigated that and also that he recognizes the need to keep the quality. The managerial assuredness is on a level we haven't heard in a while.
