Brighton & Hove Albion 3-0 Chelsea, Premier League: Post-match reaction, ratings
I remember a few months ago when some of us raised concerns about the new owners’ approach, some folks here dismissed those concerns as overly negative. There was even someone who consistently argued that BlueCo’s strategy would bring stability and long-term sustainability to the club. Now, we’re heading into the fifth year, and the only real stability/consistency we’ve seen is regression. The combination of arrogance and naivety from the ownership made it clear that they’re steering the club in the wrong direction.Football isn’t just another business or sport, it has its own identity, culture, principles, and deeply rooted traditions that need to be understood and respected. For many, football is more than a game; it’s a way of life. To have this new owners come in and dismantle the very fabric of the club, its culture, mentality, and identity, without fully appreciating what they were inheriting, to me, that’s the beginning of their downfall. The disregard for the club’s history, culture, its fanbase, the generations of sacrifice, sweat and blood, and the former players who built the legacy of this club is just too much and a strong recipe for disaster.
