In fairness, I'll die on the hill that I hate the DH.If you wanna get two lumbering bats into the lineup who are defensive liabilities, there should be some consequences for that. Duda should've been a 1B (and was a very solid one for us). The fact that we chose to play him in LF instead of trading away someone to avoid the 1B logjam was very much a self-inflicted wound. Heck, during the 2019 season, we nearly made it work with JD Davis and Dom Smith patrolling LF, which is crazy!I like that the DH helps roster older players (I think to how Marte and JDM were used with us), but I really miss the strategy of pinch hitting, double-switches, etc. There's still definitely some strategies to be employed, but they feel pretty stale by comparison.
