He didn't cost many points. What cost us points is the way this team is coached. The issue in the 2nd leg vs Arsenal was NOT the defense. But rather our absolute inability to create goalscoring chances. If we were able to score as often as the quality of our forwards allowed for, we'd have done better even with the defensive issues.

Regarding the whole 'midfield lacks creativity', I have a question: Does that mean the midfield is good at everything else? Positioning? Defensive awareness? Tracking? Ball-carrying? Short and long passing? Pressing? What is it good at ? Nothing. We get outplayed all the time by everyone. Which means either the players are incredibly bad and we need +10 signings, or there is something deeper at play. We have elite ball-carriers who never carry anything. How many times have you seen Fede get into the final third doing his famous unstoppable runs? Camavinga? Jude? How many times was Jude played as an actual playmaker? These players have been bad even at the stuff they're supposed to be good at.
