From what I've read, all they have against the guy is an anonymous allegation several years back with no supporting evidence (or corroborating witnesses). Hard to figure, isn't it? Then again, it really isn't. With the exception of Border Patrol employees and some Miami-Dade voters (for now), if you're a Latino male, they'll do what they can to get you out of this country, regardless of legal status, and Latino females won't be far behind, either. A coworker of my wife's from Venezuela with legal status and no criminal record just received her leave-or-else command. She was given five days to move her life out of the country. This lady had followed every immigration directive to the letter. Never missed any appointments or filings. Just a middle-aged lady working hard and trying to build a life here.

Of course. Tariffs are more about industry manipulation than they are about revenue generation. To generate even decent revenue from them, a nation must enforce consistent, significant tariffs for many years. This ad-hoc, kneejerk, almost manic approach isn't going to do that (nor will it bring manufacturing back to the U.S.). Beyond his usual tendency to boast, this is just a rhetorical justification for extending the tax-cuts, which are irresponsible budgetarily.
