Not sure we can afford to do that and the PL's competitiveness won't guarantee we're a consistent CL team, even in bad seasons Barcelona know they'll be in the CL. They also cut their wage bill and leaned on their Academy. We cut the wage bill but gutted our Academy while buying players that help our agent friends.

Chelsea are a perfect example of why supporters need to be vigilant when it comes to questioning the decisions of the club. A lot clear warning signs were hand-waved away. Those of us who questioned it and tried to connect dots were told that we were doing so with "no evidence". Well, if you wait until it is obvious it is likely too late and I feel that is where we're at. I'm not sure the damage they've done can ever be fixed outside for starting completely over.
