Chelsea 0-3 Manchester City, Premier League: Post-match reaction, ratings
Positive from the day was Hato, did a really good job on Haaland and was in position for the direct threats he intervened with. That's about it, fingers crossed we're as healthy as possible for the FA Cup, that is looking like the best route to a solid European completion (Conference League isn't worth qualifying for, would rather be like United in that case and have PL/domestic cups only to focus on)
0How much trouble are Chelsea in after posting record losses?
My impression from everything I've read, which is summarized well here is (1) it isn't a crisis yet; but (2) things cannot continue at this rate for the club to be financially sound. It feels frighteningly like Everton before their most recent sale/getting the stadium right/figuring out their first team. The thing that infuriates me is the seeming arrogance/constant briefings. The "plan" is not working in the sporting or commercial realms, and the answer seems to be doubling down on both the strategy and the people responsible for implementing it. That absolutely needs to be adjusted, otherwise what's happening to Tottenham this year is a glimpse at our future. On the positive sign, supporters are starting to get loud and demand better. The planned protest this weekend won't drive BlueCo out, but it hopefully draws eyeballs. The CST has identified many of the problems in a reasonable way, and there is leverage with the CPO when it comes to a non-Stamford Bridge stadium build. I'm just hoping (1) things change for the better, or (2) we survive Clearlake without structural damage.https://x.com/NizaarKinsella/status/2044805635548553403
